SF Open Studios: Jon Levy-Warren & Kat Geng

Art Span promoted SF Open Studios this weekend with location throughout the city, from personal home studios, individual studios, and well known-studio buildings. With the extensive online guide by Art Span, there was no shortage of art to see this weekend. We checked in to the 1890 Bryant Art Studios to see the work of Jon Levy-Warren & Kat Geng

Jon and Kat both were participating artists at Art Night SF at Un Plaza this past month.
In Jon's paintings the subjects and backgrounds emphasize color. The work is done on transparencies and at certain angles they are reflective and flexible.

Kat's assemblage art tends to be small, hand-held size on account of how she has made a briefcase her traveling studio. She sources her materials at places like SCRAP or just about anywhere. Her works is nostalgic, including black and white photos, analog parts, and a combination of bright colors.
