A perfect summer show, Not a Lemon, curated by Alicia Dornadic, opens Thursday July 7, 6-9pm at the Scott Ellsworth Gallery at The Alite Outpost in the Mission.
Lemon is California backyards and balconies. It's lemonade, sunshine, a twist. It's bitter. Sour.
It's NOT a lemon is about the distance between representation and reality. It's also about the show being not one lemon but many lemons, made by many artists.
This ode to the lemon focuses on painting, illustration, and printmaking (& zines!) Fifty Bay Area (and Bay Area at heart) artists were invited to each submit their take on a lemon. Come celebrate all the lemons and meet the artists:
